The LED on the Easy-Switch button should rapidly blink. If not, perform a long press for three seconds. Press Fn + Esc to swap between Media keys and F-Keys. We’ve added a notification to let you know you’ve swapped. There are three keys located on the function row of note: a system mute, an emoji key and a dictation key. The mute button does exactly what you think it would – instantly mutes your microphone without you needing to hunt for the right option on your conferencing software. As this is a system mute, it works across everything from Microsoft Teams to Discord so you can avoid any embarrassing interruptions. Similar to other Logitech keyboard products, the Made for Mac MX Mechanical also has three different device shortcuts placed at the top on keys F1 – F3. A simple press of these keys can switch between different Mac products, and we found this quite useful for keeping two workflows on the go, one on our iPad and one on our MacBook Pro. If you are already happy with your setup or have an existing mechanical keyboard, we wouldn’t suggest you throw it in the trash in place of this one just yet. That being said, if you’re looking for something Mac-specific and want highly programmable functions, shortcuts and excellent battery life, there’s a lot to recommend the Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac. The typing experience if not excellent is certainly good, but for us, the product is slightlylet down by the high price and the rattle from the keys. We also weren’t 100% convinced by the in-line key design, which meant it was hard to find the right button instinctively at first, although we must admit that we did get used to it.

The build quality is also especially solid despite being lightweight and Logitech have taken extra care to ensure the product is eco-friendly, with the Graphite model using 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, and both the Rose and Pale Gray models using up to 12% due to the lighter color. The comfort of the Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac makes it easy to overlook its shortcomings, but there are some minor issues to be aware of. For around the same price, we’d also recommend looking at the Apple Magic Keyboard, the slightly cheaper MX Keys Mini from Logitech, or if you’re set on a mechanical system, the excellent Keychron K8 arguably offers a superior mechanical experience for not a lot more money. The pads located on the bottom of the keyboard are rubberized despite blending perfectly with the shade of keyboard you selected, so you can use it across just about any surface and not have to worry about it slipping during aggressive typing, and you're also very unlikely to scratch anything either.
